Help

Welcome to our help section. Here you’ll find answers to common questions about using the Choir of the Earth Library website. You can browse by section, or use the search box to find matching questions and answers.

Your Account

You can create a free account for the Choir of the Earth Library website (choirlibrary.com).

Alternatively, the first time you sign up for a membership, buy a resource, or register for access to resources for an upcoming event, an account will automatically be created for you.

This means your email address is already connected to an account registered on choirlibrary.com.

If you have previously bought anything on the site, used resources for a Choir of the Earth Event, or registered for free access, this probably means you already have an account.

Please try to log in instead. If you cannot remember your password, use the “I forgot my password” option on the login page.

Once you have logged in successfully, return to the registration form you were trying to submit. Your details should be pre-completed, and you should then be able to complete and submit the form.

Go to the Choir of the Earth Library login page and enter the email address and password you used when you created your choirlibrary.com account.

The maths question is a simple security check. It helps protect the website and your account by making sure your account is being accessed by a real human being.

If it does not work, please check your answer carefully or refresh the page to try again.

Please use the “I've forgotten my password" option at the bottom of the login page. You will be sent an email with instructions for resetting your password.

Please check your junk/spam folder. Please also make sure you have entered the email address you used to create your account.

If you have made these checks and still cannot find the password reset email, please let us know using the Report an Issue form in the website footer so we can investigate.

No. choiroftheearth.com and choirlibrary.com currently use separate login systems. Your choiroftheearth.com login details will not work on choirlibrary.com unless you have also created a choirlibrary.com account using the same email address and password.

My Content is your personal hub on the Library website. It shows your active memberships, courses you are enrolled on, resources you have bought, and resource pages for events you have booked.

This page may be empty if you do not currently have any memberships, purchased resources, event resources or enrolled courses linked to your account.

Please do not create another account if you cannot see something you expected. Duplicate accounts can make it harder to link your resources correctly.

If you have accidentally registered two accounts, please use the Report an Issue form in the website footer to contact us with the details, including the email addresses you have used. We can check which account your various purchases, memberships or resources are attached to and try to resolve the issue.

Buying Resources

No. Some resources are available to buy individually without a membership, like Around Sound lectures and vocal technique exercises.

You will still need a free account so that you can access and manage anything you buy.

Check that your card details, billing address and security checks have been completed correctly. If the payment still fails, you may need to contact your card provider or try another payment method.

After logging in, you should be automatically directed to My Content. Any resources, courses or memberships linked to your account should appear there. You can also find the My Content page at any time through the Account menu.

Most resources on the Choir of the Earth Library website are accessed online through your account.

Teaching videos and rehearsal tracks can be accessed through the Library website in a browser, on any internet-connected device such as a desktop, tablet or phone. They cannot be downloaded.

Access continues while you have the relevant active membership or access entitlement, and ends when that access expires.

If a resource includes downloadable files, this will be clearly stated.

No. Resources are for the account holder’s own personal use only and must not be shared, copied, forwarded or distributed.

Soundslice is a separate platform run by a different organisation. If you have bought resources on Soundslice, you will need to log in to your Soundslice account on the Soundslice website to access them.

Signing up to Memberships

A membership gives your choirlibrary.com account access to specific content, resources or benefits for as long as that membership is active.

Some memberships include access to the Choral Resources Library. Other memberships may give access to different resources, benefits or areas of the website.

A free account lets you log in to the Choir of the Earth Library website, but it does not give access to paid resources, membership content, event resources or the Choral Resources Library.

To access the Choral Resources Library, you need a current membership or access entitlement that specifically includes it.

Please see our Memberships page for the current membership options and what is included with each.

All Full Members of Choir of the Earth receive access to the Choral Resources Library as part of their membership.  However, choiroftheearth.com and choirlibrary.com currently use separate websites and login systems.

To claim your access, please log in to the Choir of the Earth Members Area at choiroftheearth.com, then follow the instructions here.

You can also find this page from the main menu in the Members Area.

This depends on the membership you choose. Some memberships renew automatically until you cancel them, while others give access for a fixed period only.

This information will be clearly stated on the membership's registration page, so please check these details carefully before joining.

If you would like to find out when a current membership expires, please visit the Subscriptions tab in your Account.

Switching, Renewing and Ending Memberships

In some cases, yes.  For instance, you might be able to move from a monthly membership to an annual one, or change to another membership that provides more access/benefits.

If it is possible to change your membership type, you should be able to do this from your Account:

Go to the Subscriptions tab in your Account and locate your current membership. If it is possible to switch to a different membership, you will see a "Change" button at the end of the row. Click/tap this Change button to view other memberships you can switch to.

If you switch from one membership to another through your account, your access should change when you complete the switch.

For example, if you switch to a membership that includes access to the Choral Resources Library, that access should begin once the switch is complete. If you switch to a membership that does not include access to the Choral Resources Library, that access will end when the switch is complete.

If you switch membership through your account, the checkout should show any adjustment for unused time on your current membership before you confirm the change. It calls this "proration".

Please check the amount shown at checkout carefully before completing the switch. Do not complete the payment until you have checked this amount and are happy that it is accurate.

Go to the Subscriptions tab in your Account, identify the membership you would like to stop renewals for, and click the Cancel button.

Cancelling stops future renewal payments but your membership will remain active until the end of its current billing period.

If you plan to resume your membership at a later point, you may prefer to Pause your membership rather than cancel it.

Yes, provided the membership is still available.

If you cancel and later decide to return, you will need to join again at the price and terms available at that time.

If you have an automatically renewing membership and only need a temporary break, you may wish to use the Pause option instead of cancelling. You can find this in the Subscriptions tab in your Account area.

This may mean a renewing membership payment could not be completed. Please follow the advice in any emails you have received asking you to update your card details, or visit the Subscriptions tab in your Account, where you can view and manage your current memberships and billing details.

Gifting and Discount Codes

Enter the discount code at checkout before completing your payment. The discount should be shown before you confirm your purchase.

If the code does not work, it may have expired, may not apply to the item or membership you are buying, may have already been used, or may have been entered incorrectly. Please check the code carefully and make sure it applies to your purchase.

Gift options may be available for some memberships and standalone resources, such as lectures or vocal technique exercises.

If a resource or membership can be bought as a gift, you will see a “Buy as a gift for someone else” option on the checkout page.

Tick this box before completing your purchase. After checkout, you will be asked to add the gift recipient’s email address and a gift message.

Please note that the gift email will be sent immediately.

Please note that gift emails are sent immediately after checkout, so they cannot currently be scheduled for a later date.

If you would like the gift to be sent on a specific date, you can either buy the gift on that date, or put your own email address as the recipient’s email address and forward the gift email to the recipient yourself on your preferred date.

If you already have a choirlibrary.com account:

  1. Please log in to your account. Logging in first allows you to redeem your gift within your existing account. Please note, you do not have to use the same email address that received the gift to redeem it.
  2. Open the gift email and click the redemption link provided.
  3. The redemption link will take you to a registration form, which should already be partially pre-completed with your details.
  4. Complete, check and then submit the form to claim your gift.
  5. The resource or membership you have been gifted will appear in both your Account and on your My Content page.

OR, if you do not already have a choirlibrary.com account:

  1. Open the gift email and click the redemption link provided.
  2. The redemption link will take you to a registration form.
  3. Complete, check and then submit the form to claim your gift. Please note, you do not have to use the same email address that received the gift to redeem it - please use the email address you want linked to your choirlibrary.com account.
  4. An account will automatically be created using the details you have provided.
  5. The resource or membership you have been gifted will appear in both your Account and on your My Content page.

A gifted membership covers the first membership period only, e.g. the first month for a monthly membership, or the first year for an annual membership.

When the gifted period ends, the membership will automatically expire.  It will not automatically renew.

If the gift recipient wishes to continue their membership at this point, they can sign up themselves, or redeem another gift membership if one is purchased for them.

Choral Resources Library

If your membership includes access to the Choral Resources Library, start from Library Home. From there, you can browse by work or by composer, or search for something specific.

When you find a work you want to learn, choose the button for your voice part, e.g. "Learn Soprano", "Learn Alto", "Learn Tenor" or "Learn Bass".

This will take you to the voice-part course page for that work, where you can enroll on the course and start using the teaching and rehearsal resources.

Enrolling adds a shortcut to the course on your My Content page, so you can return to it easily next time you log in.

It it also neccessary to enroll before you can access the rehearsal videos for that voice part.

It also allows you to keep track of your progress, for example by marking rehearsals as complete.

Start from the voice-part course page for the work you want to learn. If you have not already enrolled on the course, click the enroll button first.

Click "Start Rehearsing" or "Continue Rehearsing" at the top of the page, or scroll down to the bottom of the page, to view a list of available rehearsals.

Click the title of a rehearsal to load it in the rehearsal video player.

You can navigate between rehearsals using the side panel in the rehearsal video player, or return to the main course page.

If you see an "unauthorised" error message when you try to access a rehearsal video, please make sure you have clicked the enroll button at the top of the main course page and then try again.

Our rehearsal tracks are recorded by professional choral singers, with voice-part-louder and full choir tracks available for each piece / movement of longer works.

Voice-part and full choir rehearsal tracks are available on each voice-part course page as embedded playlists.  You can play these using any internet browser on any internet-connected device, including computers, tablets and mobile phones.

Please note, rehearsal tracks available in the Choral Resources Library cannot be downloaded.  If you prefer to buy downloadable mp3 rehearsal tracks, these are available separately for some works on our sister site, choiroftheearth.com.

The main page for each work contains information about the edition of the score used for the teaching in the rehearsal videos and by the guide singers to record the rehearsal tracks. You can use this information to source the appropriate score from a trusted retailer or sheet music library.

Where works are out of copyright, we try to use scores that are in the public domain and, where possible, available to download from online sheet music libraries.

Yes. You can log in to your account on different devices at the same time, such as a computer, tablet or phone, but your account is still for your own use only and must not be shared with anyone else.

Choir of the Earth Events

The Events Team will let you know when event resources are available and how to access them. Resources may not be available immediately after booking.

For questions about event resources, please contact the Events Team by email at: events [at] earthchoiracademy [dot] com

Please carefully follow the instructions in the Events Team’s email(s) about accessing resources for your event. You may need to click a specific link or button in the email and/or complete a short registration form on our website before the event page and resources appear in your My Content page.

If you are confident you have followed the instructions and still cannot see the resources, please clear your browser’s cookies, log back into the website, and try again.

If the resources still do not appear in My Content, please Report an Issue here, including as much information as possible, and we will investigate.

General Troubleshooting

First, please check:

  • Are you logged in with the email address you used for your purchase or registration?
  • Do you have more than one Library account?
  • If you have a membership, is it still active? You can check this in the Subscriptions tab of your Account.
  • Is access to the resource you are looking for included in your current membership, purchase or event registration?
  • If you are accessing the Library through a choir, partner organisation or event, have you followed the instructions they gave you?

Please do not create another account if you cannot see something you expected. Duplicate accounts can make it harder to link your resources correctly.

If you believe the website is not showing something it should, and the suggestions above do not help, please Report an Issue here, including details of what you expected to see, where on the site, and any error messages that appear.

This means the Choir of the Earth Library system cannot see the right permission on your account to access that particular page or resource. This may happen if:

  • You are logged in with the wrong email address, e.g. if you have duplicate accounts.
  • You are trying to access a resource that is not included in any of the memberships or resources currently attached to your account.
  • You are trying to access rehearsals for a course you have not enrolled on yet.
  • You are trying to access resources for an event that is now over.

You can find current information about the status of your purchases and memberships in the Subscriptions and Payments tabs of your Account.

You can find details of what access is included in each of our memberships here.

If you are confident that you should have access to a page or resource and the above suggestions do not help, please Report an Issue here, including details of what you are trying to access, where on the site, and any error messages that appear.

Please try these steps:

  1. Refresh the page.
  2. Log out, then log back in again.
  3. Check that you are logged in with the correct email address.
  4. Clear your browser’s cookies, then log in again.
  5. Try opening the page in a different browser.
  6. Try opening the page on a different device, if available.

If you are not sure how to do something like clearing cookies, you can search for instructions using a search engine, for example, "How to clear cookies on an iPhone".

You can also ask an AI tool such as ChatGPT or Gemini for step-by-step help.

Please submit a Report an Issue form if something on the website does not seem to be working properly after you have tried the relevant troubleshooting steps above.

The form is intended for technical issues with the Library website. It will ask for the page address where the issue is happening (e.g. "https://choirlibrary.com/library-home"), a description of the problem, screenshots (if you can), and your email address. Please use the email address linked to your choirlibrary.com account to help us investigate the issue more easily.

If your question is about resources for a Choir of the Earth Event, please contact events [at] earthchoiracademy [dot] com

If you have another non-technical query, please email communications [at] choiroftheearth [dot] com
